Does anyone know the name of this TV show?

It was fairly recent (in the last ~5 years). It is a US sci-fi/alien show. All I can remember is parts of the first episode. A large boat/ship had sent a mayday or something and the military (?) went to investigate. On the ship, they found the crew mostly dead- murdered or gone crazy (??). The soldiers/agents witnessed something alien in the sky, like a glowing ship thing from another dimension. And then later in the show, they had their blood tested and found blood mutations.
